Tour Diary - Day 3

Dunedin To Timaru

Picked up Hire cars drove to Timaru. Playing at The Royal Hotel. Great sounding room, big thanks to Chris for letting me use his kit, what a bass drum sound, may have to check out Mapex when I get back. Did an iPod recording of the gig last night, sounds really good, great mix. Just packing for Christchurch tonight.

Tour Diary - Day 2

Flew from Wellington to Auckland then Auckland to Dunedin,got stung for excess baggage..

South Bar - Dunedin

One of the things you have constantly do as a muso is adapt, tonights gig certainly tested that. Room was lovely but all concrete, half the hire pa didn't work, no carpet for the kit, so had great fun playing chase the bass drum across the stage..

Tour Diary Day 1-update

Up at 4am, taxi to airport for 6:46 flight to Wellington. Rehearsals last night went well, the songs are sounding very epic.

Bar Bodega, Wellington.

Good start to the Tour, good pa, Support bands were Supermodel and The Duchraines. Many thanks to Tony Kemp from Supermodel for the use of his stunning DW kit. Met up with an old London College of Music chum. Band had a "few" drinks after the show. Just realised I've been awake for nearly 22hours.. Time for some zzz..
