New Album, Eric Clapton Support

Well January And February saw me in the studio with the Danny Mccrum Band
I've been involved as a producer on this album, recording and mixing the early demos, and also even doing a little singing..

we also supported Eric Clapton on his recent gig at Vector Arena:

and I also got to meet one of my heros

I’m now Teaching from Dr Music Rehearsal Studios in Takapuna on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The slots are going fast !

New YouTube videos

It took a while but I finally got my hands on some footage of me playing with the Danny McCrum Band. It was filmed earlier this year at the Auckland Zoo. I’ll put more clips up as I get time to edit it.

Ear Plugs

About 8 or 9 nine years ago I had some custom moulded ear plugs
made. Well worth the investment if you value your hearing. You can get them here in NZ for around $300 or if your in the Uk you can get them for around £164. The Elacin Er 15/25’s don’t take out all the high and low frequencies like most “foam” ear plugs do. I never play without them now. There is a review of them here.
Dont lose the music Website. Try and think back to how many gigs you’ve been to where you haven’t worn ear plugs and the sounds levels would have been over 100 db !! I know I didn’t use any ear plugs at all for the first 5 years :-(

Your ears do change shape over time, so I’ve booked in next week to have a new set made.
